Mt.Pálsfjall 1329 meters high nunatak located in south west of Vatnajökull glacier. Pálsfjall is named after Páll Pálsson from Hörgsland in Síða, often called glacier-Paul or Páll Jökull. It is though Páll was the first to walk up to the mountain back in August 1874 on an expedition with Williams Lord Watts. There is a lot of obsidian in Pálsfjall giving it the dark color.
