Lake Skyggnisvatn morning light

Lake Skyggnisvatn is most westerly of all the lakes belonging to the area called Veiðivötn. The river Tungnaá flows freely into the lake and when it gets bigger it colors the lake with sand particles leaving it this milky emerald blue color. The lake is full of Arctic char and fishermen usually catch about 800 per year, some good years it doubles that. In the distance we can see the crated Ljótipollur and the Red craters in Fjallabak.
